Licor 43 Horchata
Licor 43 Original meets horchata, the ice-cold tiger nut drink from Valencia. Creamy but plant-based, light and Mediterranean: tiger nut, cinnamon and citrus, at 16%. Best enjoyed straight from the refrigerator.

A Valencian summer drink with a splash of 43
Horchata is a traditional drink from Valencia, made from tiger nuts, the small tubers known as chufa in Spanish. Licor 43 Horchata is a fusion of this traditional horchata and Licor 43 Original. The vanilla and citrus of the yellow bottle remain recognizable, but the whole becomes light, creamy and silky smooth.
At 16% alcohol, it is half as strong as the Original, which has 31%. It is creamy but plant-based: its creaminess comes from tiger nut horchata, not cream. As a result, it tastes less heavy and sweet than most cream liqueurs: the tiger nut adds nuttiness, the cinnamon brings warmth and the citrus keeps it fresh. That is why it is best enjoyed ice-cold, neat or with coffee.

How to drink Licor 43 Horchata
This liqueur is at its best as a cooler: cold, with ice and perfectly with coffee.
Ice-cold from the freezer
Put the bottle in the freezer for an hour and pour 40 ml into a small, chilled liqueur glass. The cold makes it syrupy and brings out the tiger nut most beautifully.
Glass: liqueur glass →Horchata Carajillo
40 ml Licor 43 Horchata and a shot of fresh espresso, briefly and vigorously shaken with ice and poured over ice in a tumbler. Creamier and smoother than the classic Carajillo.
To the recipe →Iced coffee with horchata
Fill a highball glass with ice, pour in 120 ml of cold coffee and let 50 ml of Horchata flow through it. A summery iced coffee with cinnamon and a smooth splash.
