Which size of milk jug do I need?
Choose the capacity on the largest order you make regularly. For two cappuccinos 35 cl is enough, for a flat white 50 cl, and for a table of four 75 or 100 cl is more practical because you froth all the milk in one go.
Are milk jugs dishwasher safe?
Yes, the stainless steel jugs are dishwasher safe. Do rinse them first with cold water, because dried-on milk residue leaves a film that harms the foam of the next portion. Coloured versions stay good-looking longer on a short programme.
Why is thick-walled steel better for latte art?
Thick-walled steel cools down more slowly and passes the heat on to your hand more evenly. That lets you feel the temperature of the milk accurately on the side of the jug, so you are less likely to shoot past the 65 degrees above which milk tastes boiled.
What is the difference between a pointed and a wide spout?
A long, pointed spout gives a thin stream you can steer well, which makes it the choice for latte art. A shorter, wider spout pours faster and works more pleasantly when you are mainly topping up milk or emptying a large jug.
