How much does a beer tankard hold?
The collection runs from 28 to 60 cl. The 28 and 29 cl are the small size for a half, the models from 50 to 60 cl are the classic tankard size. A one-litre Oktoberfest stein is not currently part of the range.
Why does a beer tankard have a handle?
So your hand doesn't warm the beer. With an ordinary beer glass there is only a thin layer of glass between your fingers and the beer. With a handle you hold the tankard without touching the wall, and that makes a noticeable difference in temperature.
Why does the head collapse in my tankard?
Almost always because of grease on the inside. A single fingerprint or a trace of rinse aid makes the head collapse within a minute. Wash tankards separately from greasy crockery, rinse well and don't dry them with a tea towel.
Can you serve cocktails in a beer tankard?
Usually not practical, because cocktails are built on ice and a tankard is not shaped for that. The moscow mule is the exception: it traditionally goes in a mug with a handle, for exactly the same reason as beer.
