Passoã
The black bottle with the pink passion fruit liqueur, famous for the Pornstar Martini. Everything about the taste, percentage, mixers, cans and the right glass to serve it in.

Passion fruit from Brazil in a French bottle
Passoã is a passion fruit liqueur launched in 1985 by the French liqueur house Rémy Cointreau; since 2017, the brand has been largely owned by Amsterdam-based Lucas Bols. Its base is juice from Brazilian passion fruits, blended with alcohol and sugar into a 17% pink-red liqueur. The black bottle with the sunset is its trademark.
Passoã became world-famous through the Pornstar Martini, the cocktail Douglas Ankrah created in London in 2002 with vodka, Passoã, passion fruit purée and vanilla, with a shot of prosecco served alongside. In the Netherlands, Passoã is also a classic mixer: with orange juice, tonic or 7-Up. Ready-to-drink cans are now available, such as Passion Fruit Martini and Passoã Orange.
In brief
What types of Passoã are there?

Passoã
The original in the black bottle: pink-red passion fruit liqueur, sweet and sour at the same time. The basis of the Pornstar Martini.

Passoã 1 litre
The large bottle for parties and the home bar. More economical if you often serve Passoã with orange juice or tonic.

Passoã Passion Fruit Martini
The Pornstar Martini ready to drink in a can: Passoã, vodka and passion fruit. Serve chilled, optionally in a coupe.

Passoã Orange
Passoã with orange juice in a can. The classic Passoã orange juice mix, without mixing it yourself.

Passoã Pink Lemonade Spritz
Passoã with pink lemonade and bubbles. Fresh, light and summery.
With one bottle of Passoã, a bottle of vodka and some passion fruits, you can make the perfect Pornstar Martini.
Sweet and sour, like a ripe passion fruit
Passion fruit & tropical fruit
Intense, fresh passion fruit with a hint of mango and citrus. Unmistakably tropical.
Sweet with a sour zing
Sweet at first, followed by the characteristic tartness of passion fruit. Juicy and refreshing, not syrupy.
Fresh and fruity
A refreshing, slightly bitter finish of passion fruit seeds. You can barely taste the 17% alcohol.
Passoã's flavor profile neat. Mixed with orange juice or tonic, it becomes lighter; in a Pornstar Martini, the vodka's vanilla joins in.
Three ways to drink Passoã
Passoã is served cold and mixed. The Pornstar Martini is the queen, but with orange juice or tonic, it's ready in ten seconds.
Pornstar Martini
50 ml vanilla vodka, 25 ml Passoã, 25 ml passion fruit purée, and 15 ml lime juice, shaken and strained into a coupe. Garnish with half a passion fruit and serve with a shot of prosecco on the side.

50 ml Passoã with 150 ml orange juice in a highball glass full of ice. The Dutch classic: sweet, refreshing, and orange-pink.
Glass: highball glass →Passoã tonic
50 ml Passoã with 150 ml tonic and a lime wedge in a large wine glass with ice. Drier and fresher than with orange juice; the bitterness of the tonic pairs beautifully with the passion fruit.
