Peachtree Spritz

What is Peachtree Spritz?
A peach spritz that's already made
Peachtree Spritz is a ready-to-drink beverage from De Kuyper Royal Distillers in Schiedam, the distillery where Peachtree originated in 1984. The can contains the three ingredients of a classic spritz: Peachtree peach liqueur, prosecco and sparkling water. The result is a fresh, lightly sparkling cocktail with an approachable, summery taste.
The main difference from the bottle is the strength and convenience. Peachtree itself is 20% ABV and is intended for mixing; the Spritz is 4.5% ABV and is already at drinking strength. The peach is subtler than in a Sex on the Beach, because the prosecco and sparkling water make it lighter and drier.
Light, bubbly and subtly peachy
Soft peach
A soft aroma of ripe peach, with some of prosecco's fruity freshness.
Fresh and sparkling
Lightly sparkling and fresh, with subtle peach. Less sweet than Peachtree neat, because the prosecco and sparkling water dilute it.
Short and dry
A short, fresh finish with a hint of peach. Summery and easy to drink.
Peachtree Spritz flavor profile, poured ice-cold over ice. Without ice, the peach comes through a little sweeter.
How to pour a Peachtree Spritz
A spritz is all about being cold, bubbly and packed with ice. The can does the work; the glass and garnish finish it off.
Classic over ice
A large wine glass filled with ice, pour the 250 ml can over it and add a slice of peach or orange. Pour carefully to keep the bubbles in.
Spritz glasses →With fresh fruit and mint
A few wedges of fresh peach and a sprig of mint in the glass, add ice and top up with Peachtree Spritz. Fresher, and lovely to serve at the table in summer.
Wine glasses →Homemade, slightly stronger
50 ml Peachtree, 75 ml prosecco and a splash of sparkling water in a large wine glass with ice. The same spritz, but with more peach and slightly more alcohol.
