Kruškovac
Kruškovac is a golden-orange pear liqueur from Croatia. It is pronounced kroosh-ko-vats, and the word comes from kruška, pear. Here you can read what kruškovac is, what it tastes like, how to drink it, and which glass suits it.
A pear from the Balkans, in a bottle
Kruškovac (also written as kruskovac) is a pear liqueur. The name comes from the Croatian word kruška, meaning pear. The liqueur originally comes from Croatia. It is usually served chilled, often after dinner.
It is a sweet liqueur, not a dry pear brandy. Kruškovac has a distinctive golden-orange color and a soft, fruity flavor and aroma of fresh pears. The version at Gall & Gall, Lara Kruškovac, has an alcohol content of 25%. This makes it slightly stronger than many fruit liqueurs, but much milder than a brandy.
