Bols Triple Sec
The crystal-clear orange liqueur found in half of all classic cocktails. Orange, orange peel and a hint of lemon at 38%: dry and strong enough to carry a Margarita or Cosmopolitan.

The quiet force behind the classics
Bols Triple Sec is a crystal-clear liqueur flavored with orange, orange peel and a hint of lemon. Triple sec is the name for a dry, clear style of orange liqueur, and that is exactly the style a cocktail recipe calls for when it includes orange liqueur.
At 38% alcohol, Bols Triple Sec is stronger and drier than Bols Blue. It adds no color, only flavor: fresh citrus and a light sweetness that balances the acidity of lime or lemon. That is why it features in the Margarita, Cosmopolitan, Sidecar and White Lady.
In brief
Bright orange with a dry core
Fresh peel
A fresh aroma of orange peel and flesh, with a light lemon note.
Citrus and sweet
Sweet, but not syrupy. The orange is bright and the alcohol gives the liqueur backbone.
Dry and warm
A warm, fairly dry finish with a hint of bitterness from the peel. Exactly what a sour cocktail needs.
Flavor profile of Bols Triple Sec neat. In a cocktail, it mainly balances sweetness and citrus with lime or lemon.
What to use Bols Triple Sec for
Triple sec is a building block. You usually use it in small amounts, 15 to 25 ml per cocktail.

50 ml tequila, 25 ml Bols Triple Sec and 25 ml fresh lime juice, shaken with ice and strained into a margarita glass with a salted rim. The classic recipe in which triple sec takes center stage.
