Patrón El Cielo
Patrón's prestige bottle: a clear tequila distilled not twice but four times. This makes it remarkably smooth and light, with sweet agave taking center stage. A tequila to drink neat.

Why distill it four times?
Most tequila is distilled twice. Patrón El Cielo passes through the copper stills four times, which is what makes it different from the Silver. With each distillation, the spirit becomes cleaner and lighter; the aim is to release the agave's sweet flavors while producing an exceptionally smooth tequila. Patrón itself calls it the ultimate innovation from the house.
The base is the same as for all Patrón: 100% Blue Weber agave from Jalisco, hand-selected and processed by hand. El Cielo is clear and unaged, so it lacks the wood character of the Reposado and Añejo. What remains is pure agave: sweet, fresh, and light, yet with enough complexity to savor slowly.
In brief
Sweet agave, as smooth as it gets
Sweet and fresh
Sweet agave takes the lead, fresh, bright, and lightly floral, without the sharp alcohol aroma sometimes found in young tequila.
Light and silky smooth
Remarkably smooth and light on the palate. The agave is sweet and clean, with refined complexity.
Clean and fresh
A clean, fresh finish without any burn. The smoothness is most noticeable after swallowing.
Flavor profile of Patrón El Cielo neat. Compared with the Silver, it is softer and less peppery; there is no wood like in the Reposado and Añejo.
A tequila to drink neat or over ice
El Cielo is made to be enjoyed neat. The less you add, the better you can taste the quadruple distillation.
Neat, at room temperature
3 cl in a small tulip-shaped tasting glass. Take small sips and pay attention to the finish: that is where it differs from an ordinary blanco tequila.
Tasting glasses →On the rocks
5 cl over one large, clear ice cube in a tumbler. The ice makes it even fresher without taking away the sweet agave.
Tumblers →As a tequila highball
40 ml El Cielo with 120 ml cold sparkling water in a tall glass filled with ice, with a thin strip of lime peel. A light, dry long drink that lets the agave speak.
Highball recipe →Cocktails worthy of such a smooth tequila
This bottle is too special for a sweet mix. Choose cocktails with few ingredients, in which the tequila remains the star.

Margarita
Tequila, fresh lime and a little triple sec or agave syrup. Even smoother with El Cielo.
Tequini
A Dry Martini with tequila instead of gin: dry vermouth, stirred, with an olive or lemon peel.
Tequila Highball
Tequila, ice-cold sparkling water and lots of ice. The simplest recipe, and therefore the most beautiful for El Cielo.
Paloma
Tequila with grapefruit, lime and soda. Made with fresh grapefruit juice instead of soft drink.More Patrón flavors
