Tanqueray Rangpur
Tanqueray's lime gin. Rangpur is a citrus fruit from India with the bite of lime and the juiciness of mandarin; together with ginger and bay leaf, it goes into the London Dry. At 41.3%, fresh and easy to mix.

What exactly is rangpur?
Rangpur is an exotic citrus fruit from India. It has the spiciness of a lime and the juiciness of a mandarin. Tanqueray first released this gin in 2006 by adding rangpur, along with ginger and bay leaves, to the premium London Dry from 1830.
So, in addition to the four classic botanicals, there are three new ones: rangpur itself, ginger and bay leaf. This results in a fresh, citrus-rich gin with a spicy, warm undertone of ginger. At 41.3%, it is slightly lighter than the London Dry and excellently suited to long drinks.
In brief
Lime with a warm core
Lime and mandarin
Sharp, juicy citrus that falls somewhere between lime and mandarin, with a hint of green from the bay leaf.
Fresh and spicy
Fresh citrus up front, followed by the warmth of ginger. The juniper is present, but plays second fiddle.
Spicy and clean
A clean finish with a gentle ginger kick. Easy to drink and not sweet.
Flavor profile of Tanqueray Rangpur neat. With tonic and lime, it becomes even fresher; in a Gimlet, the ginger comes to the fore.
Three ways to serve Rangpur
Rangpur calls for lime and bubbles. The fresher the accompaniment, the better the citrus comes through.
Rangpur & tonic
50 ml Rangpur with 150 ml premium tonic in a glass full of ice, with a lime wedge and a lemon wedge. This is the brand's perfect serve.
Gin and tonic recipe →Rangpur Gimlet
60 ml Rangpur and 20 ml lime syrup or 15 ml lime juice with 15 ml sugar syrup, shaken hard with ice and strained into a chilled Nick & Nora. Sharp, fresh and short.
Gimlet recipe →With ginger ale
50 ml Rangpur with 150 ml ginger ale in a highball glass filled with ice and a wedge of lime. The ginger ale picks up the ginger in the gin.
