With this champagne saber from Bar Professional, you can do it just as Napoleon’s hussars once did. The saber is 57 centimeters long, made entirely of stainless steel, and at just over 600 grams has exactly enough weight to get the job done with a controlled wrist movement. Its weight is nicely balanced toward the blade, so the saber does the work and you only need to guide it.
How to saber safely
Chill the bottle thoroughly, remove the foil and muselet, and find the seam where the two halves of the bottle meet. In one smooth movement, let the blunt back of the blade glide along that seam toward the neck: the pressure inside the bottle does the rest, and the neck breaks off with the cork still in place. Always aim away from your guests and practice first with a less expensive bottle of sparkling wine.

We also place clear warning stickers on the shipping box so the delivery service knows that the box contains fragile glasses and handles it with care.
If a glass still arrives damaged, report it in your account within three business days with a photo. You will receive a replacement glass or store credit, and you do not need to return the broken glass.
