Where is the fill line on the Viticole?
The 21.5 cl glass has two lines, at 12 and at 14 cl. With those you serve every guest the same measure in hospitality and can check whether a bottle yields the number of glasses you expect.
How much wine do you pour into a tasting glass?
Three to four centilitres is enough. What you mainly need is air above the wine so you can swirl, because that is where the aromas gather. A fuller glass makes tasting harder rather than easier.
Is the Viticole also usable as an ordinary wine glass?
The 31 cl model is. That is a normal wine size and works perfectly well as a table glass. The 12 cl is really meant for tasting and soon looks too small and too often empty on a laid table.
How do you keep smells out of a tasting glass?
Wash with little detergent, rinse thoroughly and dry with a linen cloth you use only for glassware. Store the glasses upright, because a glass standing upside down takes on the smell of the shelf.
