What is the difference between the small and the standard beer glass?
The small one is 19 cl and narrow, the standard one is 29 cl and wider. The small glass empties quickly, which keeps the beer cold. The standard glass is what most guests ask for with an ordinary order.
Are Budgetline glasses suitable for hospitality use?
They are made for canteens, clubs and parties where many glasses are needed at once. It is pressed glass with a thick base that copes with many hands, but the wall is thicker and the rim less fine than on blown-quality hospitality glass.
Are these glasses dishwasher safe?
Yes, pressed soda-lime glass handles a normal dishwasher programme perfectly well. Place the glasses apart in the rack so the rims do not touch, because with pressed glass that is where small chips appear over time.
How many glasses do you count per guest at a party?
Allow a good two glasses per guest. People put a glass down and pick up a new one, and one always breaks along the way. With beer you often count a third glass per person, because a small beer glass empties quickly.
