Which glasses are in the Brio range?
Two champagne flutes, of 9.5 and 16 cl, and a coupe of 20 cl. The small flute is the welcome size, the large one the ordinary table size, and the coupe is meant for cocktails served without ice.
Flute or coupe: which holds the bubbles longer?
The flute. Its narrow shape gives the carbonation little surface area to escape from, so the bubbles last longer. A coupe is wide and shallow and lets bubbles go faster, but it shows a cocktail off better.
How full should you pour a champagne flute?
To about three quarters. Pour at an angle down the side and only bring the glass upright once it is half full, and the foam stays within the rim. You need the space at the top, because that is where the aroma gathers.
Can Brio glasses go in the dishwasher?
Yes, on a glassware programme at a low temperature. Place the stems well apart so they do not lean against anything. Afterwards, let the glasses air upright rather than upside down on a tea towel.
