What is the 74 cl mixing glass for?
For cocktails you stir rather than shake, such as a martini or a negroni. Fill it two thirds with ice, stir for about thirty seconds and strain the drink into a pre-chilled glass.
What is the difference between a Nick & Nora and a coupette?
The 15 cl Nick & Nora is narrow and deep and keeps a stirred cocktail cold for a long time. The 23.5 cl coupette is wider and leaves room for the foam on shaken drinks with citrus or egg white.
Which tumbler should you choose for a large ice block?
The 37 cl. It takes a block of about five centimetres with enough room for the drink around it. The 27 cl is meant for whisky neat or for a cocktail over regular ice cubes.
Is this range suitable for daily hospitality use?
Yes, but the glass is thin-walled. Wash it loose in the basket on a short programme and never stack glasses inside one another. For heavy-duty service, thicker-walled ranges are the wiser choice.
