How much tea fits in the Tribeca glass?
Forty centilitres, almost double a usual tea glass. So use two tea bags or leave a single bag to steep longer, otherwise the tea turns weak. For smaller servings a lower model is handier.
Can you pour boiling water into this glass?
Yes, provided the glass is at room temperature. The tempered glass takes heat well, but a large temperature difference stays risky. Warm the glass with a splash of hot water first if it has just come out of a cold cupboard.
What is the oval saucer for?
For serving the whole thing at once. Beside the glass there is room for a spoon, a sugar cube and a biscuit, so everything reaches the table in one go. In a café that saves walking; at home it makes for a polished presentation.
How do I get tea stains out of the glass?
With hot water and a spoonful of soda, left to stand for half an hour and then rinsed. Do not use abrasive cleaner or steel wool, as those create micro-scratches in which new staining takes hold faster.
